Well done to her and I'm happy she is so excited to win but I have to ask.... what has happened to Southern California? Aren't they known for their looks? I understand the competition is about personalities, but 50 years later we need to realize it's about marketing. It would be nice to see the pretty blonde with the bubbly personality Southern California is known for!
I thought the whole point of the Rose of Tralee is that it's not a beauty pageant and not based on some imagined ideal of beauty? The girl is pretty and I think your comment is a tad cruel to be honest.
