Daithi continues with his writings for irishcentral.com. The article is mainly about the Kerry Rose Selection - but he sneaks in some info on his upcoming marriage to Rita Talty - 2008 New Jersey Rose. A Daithi gem from the article "I get to meet all the Roses during the day. They were all up of the craic which makes life a lot easier for me. I love having fun with them during the day, I think they think I’m normal and not full of it and that puts them at ease. The stage part is always a lot of fun too".

Daithi again......

Daithi O Se has no plans to walk down the aisle this year
Frank McGrath/herald.ie
Yes, Daithi just can't be kept away from the media, fair play to him. According to reliable sources (the good people at herald.ie) it seems Daithi and Rita Talty will not be tying the knot in 2011. You remember Rita of course - she was the 2008 New Jersey Rose.

Daithi explains all at herald.ie.

And if al of this is not enough, the Longford Leader goes on to detail many other Longford connections with the Rose of Tralee.

Aoife Kelly Spells It Out

2008 Rose Of Tralee, Aoife Kelly, was profiled in an extensive article in the Farmer's Journal.
Among her memorable quotes is the following;

"It just encourages younger teenagers that, often times, appropriate behaviour in a social context is rewarded and that taking coke and drinking like a lunatic isn't always the most rewarding way to go. I think it's important that they pick up the magazine and say, hold on a second, there's someone who's being rewarded for good behaviour, as opposed to outrageously, socially inappropriate behaviour, because there's a huge lack of that out there.

"The Rose of Tralee is all about what's inside: your values, your beliefs, and just to stay true to yourself. At the end of the day, it's not about pleasing the crowd. And often a nice person gets what they want in life."

It is well worth reading the entire article.
