Karina was born in Dundonald Northern Ireland and came to live in Canada when she was 1 year old. Karina returned to live in Bangor for a year in 1999 and got to experience growing up there a bit.Back in Canada after graduating high school she took a year off to consider her options and save some money for school through her job. Ultimately she decided to enroll in the University of Ottawa Linguistics programme and has completed her first year. Karina has an older brother Niall, currently an elephant trainer at The African Lion Safari Park in Cambridge, Ontario. She also has 2 younger sisters, Fiona, currently obtaining her gliders pilot licence through the Canadian Air Cadets programme and Moira, a rep soccer player. Karina's parents Anne and Brian are from Belfast Northern Ireland. All will be in Tralee to support Karina and cheer her on".
