Derry Rose Speaks to Tyrone Times

Catherine Lagan , Derry Rose 2008 has had another interview, this time with the Tryone Times. Wondering how to prepare for the selection night she asked someone who should know - "The guy from Tralee said I should keep everything exactly the same." was his reply. It obviously worked!

Derry Rose Speaks to Derry Journal

We found a full and very interesting interview with the Derry Rose 2008, Catherine Lagan, published in the Derry Journal. Among Catherine's quotable quotes is "I told them I won and they all congratulated me. I've been explaining that the Rose of Tralee isn't a beauty or talent contest but it's more about being an ambassador."

Catherine will next take part in the regional finals in Portlaoise in June.

You really should read the article.

Derry has found it's Rose!

By way of the The Derry Journal we learn that Catherine Lagan is the 2008 Derry Rose. Congratulations! A quote from that article (which you should read) is "When I came to school today the staff all said they seen my picture in the 'Journal' on Friday and I still couldn't believe I had won when I was telling them. I am really shocked and delighted. I don't think it has sunk in just yet." .
