A Baker is the Westmeath Rose

Image related to story 4011103, see caption or article text
Aisling Baker c/o Westmeath Independent

Aisling Baker in the 2012 Westmeath Rose. She is one lucky lady to have the backing of the Westmeath Independent - they have published a huge article on Aisling. Must be seen to be believed.

We will take one quote from the article "I was the last one announced," she explained of the Portlaoise selection. "I really did think that all the Irish Roses had already been selected. They announced me and I just couldn't believe it. My face was the picture of shock!"

You must go to the piece itself.

Westmeath Rose and Escort

We are indebted to to the Athlone Voice, for it is there that we find more information on the Westmeath Rose. Cathy Brougham, studying for a masters in toxicology, is the 2010 Rose.

In the picture she is arm in arm with Niall O'Brien who has been selected as the Westmeath Escort.

More information and pictures are available at the Athlone Voice.

You must know Coosan

Coosan is in Westmeath. And Coosan is where Cathy Brougham hails from. And Cathy Brougham has just been selected as the 2010 Westmeath Rose.

We are grateful to the Westmeath Independent for this news. And if you want more, go here!

No pics, yet.

Apologies to Aideen

All apologies to Aideen. We originally had your correct name, but the piece from the Athlone Town Centre threw us. Your name is now and always will be Aideen Irwin, Westmeath Rose 2008. The post has been corrected. Best of luck to you, Aideen!

Aideen No Longer a Mystery

Aideen Irwin is the Westmeath Rose 2008. This picture is from the Athlone Town Centre website. The occasion was the presentation of her prize. Visit their site for a fuller picture and report (not much of a report, though!)
